Domaine Philippe Tessier, Cour-Cheverny 2011 (aka “Jack-of-all-fruits”)

Yesterday I ate a jackfruit, and tonight I tried this wine. They’re remarkably similar: something between a pickled onion, pineapple and macadamia nut. The wine was a little effervescent and incredibly clean tasting. Romorantin is a bizarre grape that can easily become too sweet or oily-bland, but this was super fresh with enough acid to balance it out.
